Learners can work within an electrical team, under supervision, to design, install, maintain and commission EV charging installations.

know different types and features of electric vehicle charging equipment
Understand the requirements to design an installation for electric vehicle charging equipment
understand the requirements for inspection, testing, commissioning and handover of electric vehicle charging equipment and circuits
understand the use of vehicles as electrical energy storage systems as part of prosumer’s installations
install EV charging equipment

Inspection and testing
This course is designed to allow learners to develop knowledge and skills to work under supervision on domestic and small commercial photovoltaic EV charging electrical installations. Learners who complete this course will not be qualified to undertake this work.
