This two-day emergency lighting course covers the design, installation, commissioning, testing and certification of emergency lighting system, as well as the ongoing maintenance of the system.This short course is intended for candidates with electrical installation experience.

Overview of Legislation, Regulations and Codes of Practice - HASAWA, EAWR, Building Regulations, BS 7671, BS 5266-1/7/8, IET Electricians Guide to Emergency Lighting, BSI Guide to Emergency Lighting.
Design of emergency lighting system - Design sequence, Locations, Required lux levels, Disability glare, colour rendering, types of emergency Luminaire, maintained/non-maintained, durations, viewing distances, requirements for circuit failure, wiring and connections, isolation arrangements, distribution of fittings, data sheets.
Commissioning and associated documentation.
On-going maintenance requirements and associated documentation.
